About the Sale:

Q: How long will the sale last?

A: Books will be on sale for one week, while supplies last

The sale is set to run from Noon (CST) on Friday, 4/11 to Noon (CST) Friday 4/18, while supplies last! Last year we sold out earlier than expected, and while we hope the sale will run a full week, it is possible that we will sell out early again. 

Q: How does the personalization work?

A: Each book comes signed by Pierce Brown and Joel Daniel Phillips by default. 

If you  want to have your book(s) personalized to a specific name (or names) you MUST add that to the order notes section as you check out. This will be the little box with a 25 character limit! For the sake of Pierce’s poor writing arm, please keep these short and limited to names. 

Q: When will this presale ship?

A: We plan to ship these out by mid-to-late July! If you are moving in that period, or need to update your mailing address, please let us know. When your order is shipping out, you will receive a shipment confirmation with tracking information.

Q: I bought some other things with my presale items, when will I receive them?

A: All items in a presale order, excluding made-to-order items (which are noted in their individual listings) will be shipped together when the rest of the presale ships in July. If you want your hands on normal shop items earlier, please order them separately. 

Q: I am looking for books 1-3, when will you offer those again?

A: While we can’t guarantee specifics (Pierce’s arm might fall off from all the signing) we are very hopeful to offer books 1-3 again in the future!

Dust Jacket Questions:

 

Q: Can I order just the New Dust Jackets?

A: For dust jackets 1-3, yes! For 4-6, we are not currently offering those separately, although we may in the future. 

Q: Do books 3-6 include the original dust jackets as well as the new ones?

A: Nope! Whichever jackets you select (New or OG) will be the ones they come dressed in. You can select your choice in the “Dust Jacket Selection” drop down menu on the product page.

 

Q: Will there be a matching dust jacket for Red God when it releases?

A: Yes! Joel will do a matching Red God jacket down the road.

Q: Can I have the original dust jackets on these books instead?

A: Yup! Please choose that from the “Dust Jacket Selection” drop down menu when you place your order.  Please note: you will NOT receive the new dust jackets in addition to the original set if you select "OG Dust Jackets". 

Shipping Abroad (and EU specifics)

Q: Will you ship the signed books to the EU?

A: Yes! 

For some context, due to the new EU GPSR regulations (which went into effect in December 2024), we have had to pause shipping to the EU as they haven't given a lot of information on how small businesses like ours can comply.

We have been working hard and the paperwork has cleared for the Pierce Brown signed book sale specifically. 

This means we can currently ship ONLY ITEMS IN THE SIGNED BOOK SALE COLLECTION TO THE EU. 

This includes:

1. Signed books 4-6

2. Dust Jackets for Books 1-3 

3. Hail Reader Tote 

4. Words are Power Brass Bookmark

If you have any other items from our shop in the cart, it WILL NOT let you check out if your shipping address is in the EU. 

We are working on expanding our EU offerings to include our other items in the future

Q: Who is responsible for paying import fees/VAT?

A: As the customer receiving the package, you are responsible for import fees or VAT tax on your package. Please keep an eye on your tracking to ensure that you see any updates about your package! Lit Escalates does not receive any money from the VAT tax and it changes frequently from country to country. 

Q: Why are shipping fees so damn expensive?

A: Because books are heavy and international shippers charge an arm and a leg… sorry! We don’t charge you a penny more than it costs us to send your package to you.

Q: What happens if my package never shows up? 

A: That depends on the cause of the issue:

If you don’t claim your package at customs (or if your delivery address was typed in incorrectly) and your signed books are returned to us, we will not be able to re-ship them to you without charging additional shipping fees. 

PLEASE make sure to double check your address and any personalization information!

If the mail folks just lose it or a crocodile eats it (still sad for you, Tarence in Australia), we will refund you but because the personalizations are unique, we may not be able to replace your books.
